A neon sign casts a brilliant purple light behind a white wall. The sign has a phrase written on it, but the words cannot be read because the wall is too close. Security cameras positioned behind the wall are aimed at parts of the sign and at viewers who look into the hole. The security cameras’ video feeds are transmitted by UHF and displayed on a vintage television, but the UHF frequency can be picked up by anyone within range. In this piece I use elements of time and manufactured space to navigate perceptions.
