A neon sign casts a brilliant purple light behind a white wall. The sign contains a phrase but the words are obscured by the close proximity of the wall. Security cameras positioned behind the wall are aimed at parts of the sign and at viewers who look into the duct-taped hole in the wall. The security cameras’ video feeds are transmitted over UHF and displayed on a vintage television, however, the UHF frequency can be picked up and watched indiscriminately by anyone within range of the broadcast. In this piece I use elements of time and manufactured space to navigate perceptions.
